Full description
This is an 8-hour experience in Siem Reap, built around Tuk tuk, Angkor Wat and South Gate Siem Reap. It is run by BAYON GUIDES, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

This was the most amazing tour we did in all our travels. Smith was our tour guide and he was amazing. Very personable, very friendly and his english was amazing. His knowledge of the temples and Cambodian history and lifestyle was superb. We were guided to our lunch and dinner and he always made sure we were getting the air con areas and that we had a good selection of food and we tried all the different amazing Cambodia food. The service between him and the driver was fantastic. We always has fresh water and Smith knew the best places for pictures and was always ready to help us get the best

Our tour guide was great, showing with the driver a lot of flexibility in planning the itinerary, the temples are amazing, with help of our tour guide we could get to know the history too. The guide was living the story, putting efforts in the details. The lunch onsite was tasty and local. Floating village and dance performance with dinner were very educating and good extension to the temple tours. At the last day we had the chance to see the waterfall. We can recommend the tour company to anybody that is interested in getting to know not only the temples but city and Khmer society as well.

Sona, unsere TukTuk Fahrerin, hat uns pünktlich beim Hotel abgeholt und uns zielsicher zu den einzelnen Tempeln geführt und nach der Besichtigung wieder abgeholt. Dabei bekamen wir jeweils gekühlte Tücher und Wasser nach Bedarf. Sona war sehr freundluch und bemüht, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. wir können Sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
Neben den vielen beeindruckenden alten Tempeln hat uns das auf Stelzen stehende "schwimmende" Dorf, die gute Auswahl für das Mittagessen auf den Touren gefallen. Positiv überrascht wurden wir vom hohe Niveau der historischen Tanzschow inkl. Buffet zum Dinner. Wir hatten einen sehr kompetenten umsichtigen Guide und außerdem ein sehr sicheren Fahrer, viel Platz im Auto. Alles perfekt.
Pro backpackery a lidi, co cestují sami je to fajn odpočinek od věčného plánování všech cest a výletů. I když chcete být nezávislí na spoustu míst se bez tuk tuku nebo auta nedostanete, takže je fajn k odvozu mít i povídání. Cena se mi zdála nejdřív trošku dražší, ale rozhodně se to vyplatí, když se vezme v potaz co všechno zážitek zahrnuje. Průvodce je přátelský, celý výlet jsme si připadala jako VIP. I když jsou navštěvovaná místa turistická, pořád to nějak zvládá mít i nádech autenticity.
Our guides and driver were both very attentive and engaged. We visited many excellent sites; I don’t think we missed anything. Angkor Wat was the biggest site but only one of several in the area. We enjoyed the boat trip down the river to the “floating villages “ as a change from temples!
Tour molto interessante, abbiamo visto templi attorno Siam Reap a volte più interessanti di Angkor Wat. Spostamenti comodissimi, non devi pensare a nulla, anche l'acqua viene fornita e i posti selezionati per il pranzo sono stati ottimi. Abbiamo conosciuto un po' di cambogia e di vita locale. Guida preparata e autista cortese. Decisamente consigliato.
