Full description
A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap, Vintage car, Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. There are 7 stops altogether, so it fills the day rather than leaving long gaps between two or three highlights. It does not cover temple ticket (us$37/person), lunch and personal expenses & tips (optional, but, so budget for those separately. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport. The price steps with party size rather than multiplying: 1 traveller is $171, 5 is $390 and 8 is $692. You are quoted the total for your party, not a per-head rate. BAYON GUIDES runs it. Fantastic private Jeep tour around Angkor Wat! We visited all the highlights entirely at our own pace. Our guide Leang was warm, friendly, and personal, taking us to lovely quiet spots we never would have found ourselves. We also enjoyed a delicious local lunch. Exactly the experience we were hoping for, we would very much recommended this trip!

We spent a marvellous day with Sam our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and could answer any question we threw art him. His English is excellent and very easy to understand which is not always the case in Cambodia.

Wir hatten Glück und waren nur zu zweit. Der Guide hat gut englisch gesprochen und das Fahrzeug war gut und geräumig. Wasser und kalte Tücher wurden uns oft gereicht. Sehr schöner Ausflug.
Très bonne découverte du pays. Mais après il n’y a que la balade en bambou train qui est intéressante pour moi. Temple bof et ville de Battambang pas belle du tout.
Heldagsturen giver fuld valuta for pengene. Som solo rejsende var det trygt og bekvemmeligt, at lade mig transportere til lokationerne og nyde godt af en engelsktalende og vidende guide. Dagen indeholder alt fra Killing Field sted ved templet til sjov oplevelse med Bamboo Train. Kan varmt anbefale!
Nuestro guía Mork ha sido lo mejor, muy atento y con ganas de enseñarnos cosas y de seguir aprendiendo español (ya sabe bastante). Sin embargo, los casi 80€ que cuesta la excursión no merece la pena. Lo único que se salva es el paseo en tren de bambú, para lo que puedes pedir un tuktuk que te lleve desde Battambang

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and open about the history of the sites we visited, which included the killing caves, temples and a great local restaurant for lunch
All in all not a bad tour but a lot of sitting in the car à for this kind of money you would expect more, should be 100 dollar max for this tour.
