Ta Prohm is the temple the French conservators deliberately left half-swallowed, so the silk-cotton and strangler fig roots still pour over its galleries, and it is the one every visitor recognises from Tomb Raider. It was built by Jayavarman VII in 1186 as a Buddhist monastery and university; an inscription records that it once supported more than 12,500 people, with another 80,000 in the villages that fed it. Wooden walkways now route visitors past the famous roots, which means the queue for the best-known tree can be long by mid-morning. Preah Khan, its larger companion to the north, gets a fraction of the crowds and is the better walk for anyone who wants the same atmosphere without the line. Mein Guide Vitu und der Fahrer waren super pünktlich am Hotel. Die Fahrt war bereits sehr unterhaltsam und informativ. Ich konnte alles fragen und bekam viele Informationen rund um Kambodscha und Angkor. Nach fast 1h Fahrt kamen wir am Tempel Beng Mealea. Die erste Zeit waren wir, bis auf das Personal vor Ort, komplett alleine im Tempel. Die Natur, die hier über die Steine herrschte war beeindruckend. Die Bäume waren zwar lange nicht so riesig wie im Ta Phrom-Tempel, aber die Kraft der Natur war deutlich zu sehen. Es führte ein aus Holz gebauter Pfad durch den Tempel und Vitu erzählte viel Inf
Tolle Tour zum Beng Mealea Tempel. Der Tempel liegt etwas versteckt mitten im Wald. Da es dort nur wenige Touristen hin verschlägt, ist es sehr ruhig. Auch wenn große Teile der Tempelanlage schon in sich zusammengefallen sind, ist der Tempel absolut sehenswert. Unser Guide (und gleichzeitig Fahrer) Sambath war enorm engagiert, er hat uns nicht nur die Tempelanlage, sondern auch das Leben in Kambodscha näher gebracht und auch ein wenig ins kambodschanische Essen eingeführt. Absolut empfehlenswert!
El precio es un poco elevado para el poco tiempo de visita que es... lo demás muy bien, el templo es precioso, comido por la naturaleza, y nuestro guía genial, sabia bastante español!
