Full description
This is a 7-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple and Angkor Thom. It is run by Angkor Buddy, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones.
Pickup is offered from Krong Siem Reap and Krong Siem Reap; the exact spot and time are agreed with Angkor Buddy once the booking is confirmed, and the option you choose sets whether transport is included.

What an incredible experience!! Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny and the experience of the temples was unreal! Had the best time
Thom San at Travel to Inspire is a terrific tour guide and I recommend him highly for any tour needs or even just transportation needs in Siem Reap. Thom took us to Angkor Wat by the back entrance to avoid the huge crowd at the main entrance. If we had gone through the main entrance, we would never have made it to the reflecting pool before sunrise. Then he took us to the “right” place to watch the sunrise over the temple. Then as we walked in and around Angkor Wat, Thom gave us a comprehensive lecture on the temple as well as Cambodian history and culture. It was highly informative without be

Our tour and guide Thom are amazing. Thom picked us up at the hotel on time and gave us the excellent experience to see everything in three temples. We knew a lot of stories and knowledge behind this world heritage. The weather here in March is too high. Thom arranged the unlimited water and cool towels for us. It is really helpful for us to finish this tour without problems. Highly recommend the tour and guide Thom.

Notre guide Sokkun parle très bien français et est très sympa. Ses explications sont claires et il arrive à éviter les endroits trop fréquentés. Le site est magnifique. Les temples sont impressionnants. Le lever du soleil sur Angkor Wat est de toute beauté. Encore un super moment passé en famille.
Thom was just a brilliant all-round guy. Knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, every aspect of the tour had been thought about. From the secret spots for photos, to ensuring I had front row views of the sunrise at Angkor Wat. After being out in the sun on guided tours, Thom had a cold towel waiting for me to collect me down, along with plenty of bottled water. I would highly recommend Thom as a tour guide.
Leider hatte der Guide große Probleme mit der deutschen Sprache, für 230 Euro bei der Sunrisetour war es eine sehr schlechte Führung, nur wenige Infos erhalten, da war ein Buch und ein Tuktuk für 25 Euro am Tag danach noch viel günstiger und besser, ein echter Reinfall!!!
c est évidemment très jolie, nous avions un van climatisé avec boissons et serviettes fraîche. je pense que nous avions pas le meilleur guide, très speed et très politisé. c est intéressant de comprendre le contexte politique du pays mais pas quand ça prend le dessus sur l'histoire du site qu'on visite. le circuit est bien, c est l essentiel et suffisant pour un 1er jour
Nous avions payé pour un guide français mais nous avions de la difficulté à comprendre celui-ci. Il était gentil et a voulu faciliter la visite mais son français n’est pas à un niveau suffisant pour être guide. Nous avons regretté cette dépense supplémentaire; on aurait mieux fait de prendre un guide anglophone pour le quart de prix! Nous considérons que nous n’en avons pas eu pour notre argent. Nous avons passé une sublime journée en famille. Ces temples sont époustouflants. Notre guide Say Sopheav et notre chauffeur Thétique Lorm on été à notre écoute toute la journée et plus encore. Un guide passionné et un chauffeur aux petits soins. Bouteilles d’eau fraîche à volonté, serviette rafraîchissantes. Le lève du soleil ce mérite avec un réveil plus que matinal mais il en vaut la peine ! Je ne peux que recommander de la part de toute ma famille
