Full description
This is a 3-hour experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Euro Khmer Voyages, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

On the day we were supposed to go it was raining so it would not have been worth going. Luckily our guide Sanchey allowed us to move it to the following day and we were lucky enough to see a stunning sunrise. We had been to Ankor Wat previously but it is a totally different experience at sunrise. Sanchey our guide was very friendly and informative and we had a fantastic time.

This is the one tour you MUST do! The guide was brilliant, great English and a wealth of knowledge. The car was spotless inside and out and the driver was safe and very polite. I felt like a rock star the way i was treated!
Our guide and hotel pickup was on time. Great vehicle airconditioned car appreciated in heat. Mr Lours Bunlay was thoughtful, polite and explained the stories in the relief carvings. He showed us the best vantage points for photos during sunrise tour. My partner and I both really enjoyed the tour.
The temple is amazing and our guide was fabulous! Loved our time in Cambodia the highlight was of course the Angkor Wat temples, and Siem Reap was a lot of fun too :)
The tour guide and driver were very good. The tour guide gave us very good information. Showed us a good spot in see the sunrise. Good to have a privet car.
We had an amazing tour on Tuesday morning we were picked up from our hotel at 4:30am by a very cheery guide. Our driver had water for us if we needed it. The guide knew the perfect spot to see the sun come over the temple. When going round the temple itself he provided many good opportunities for photos as well as providing a rich history of the building and it's culture.
The tour guide was on time and completely professional. He gave a brief background on Cambodia history and went more in depth on the history of the Angkor complex as we drove to the temples. He was able to answer all of questions and steered us to best places for photos. He was also more than willing to help us out by taking out photos for us.
