This is a 1-day experience in Siem Reap. It is run by Happy Angkor Tour Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and it reverses direction twice a year: in the monsoon the Mekong pushes water back up the Tonle Sap river and the lake swells several times over, then drains again from about November. The villages on it live with that. Kampong Phluk's stilt houses stand six to ten metres up on their legs, dry underneath in March and wading depth in October; Kampong Khleang is larger, further out and far less visited; Chong Kneas is closest to Siem Reap and the most touristed. Which village works, and whether the boat can reach the flooded forest at all, depends entirely on the month.

Lee wasn’t just a guide, he became a friend ! Arrived on time for pickup at the hotel, smiley all the time and very attentive! He even became a doctor when I needed it. The tour was very nice and informative although during the dry season the floating village has some lack of water, but when you get on the lake the view is marvelous. Lee offered as well to see the traditional Cambodian way of live and take me to the night shopping area. I recommend this tour very much that takes you out of the city giving you a good idea of the surroundings with the Cambodian nature and the rice fields.

Det skal siges at vi bookede kun et par timer før turen begyndte, men vi fik ingen besked om, hvornår vi bille blive samlet op, før vi selv skrev til dem. De skrev så kl 15 men kl 14:20, da vi lige var vågnet fra en lur, ringede de og sagde, at det var nu. Så god tur, men ikke så god kommunikation

Muchísimas gracias a mi guía y a Lee por la gran experiencia en estos 3 días. No me esperaba tan bonita acogida, enseñanza y un gran traslado a los 9 templos que vimos en los dos días. He podido conocer un poco del gran imperio Khemer , su religion y de su gran riqueza. Unas persona increíbles, en todo momento estuvieron al tanto de todo . Siempre con una gran sonrisa. El tercer día pude conocer un poco de los mercados locales , su gente y su gran gastronomía. El chef una persona maravillosa.
