Full description
This is a 7-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Angkor Wat, Srah Srang and Bayon Temple. It is run by Siem Reap Shuttle, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat is watched from the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where the five towers come up black against the sky and then double in the water. The ticket office opens at 04:30 and Angkor Wat lets people in from 05:00, which is why tours leave Siem Reap around 04:30 for a twenty-minute drive; the sky colours before the sun clears the towers, so arriving at first light is already late for the best of it. Dry season from November to March gives the cleanest skies, while the rains bring cloud that can either kill the sunrise or make it. The pool edge fills early, the southern pool is usually quieter, and a guide who knows which side to stand on is the difference between a photograph and a wall of raised phones.

It does not cover â Whatâs Not Included, Angkor entrance tickets and Gratuities, so budget for those separately. Ra was amazing! Pickup happened right in front of my hotel at the defined window. Ra gave us information on the way in and throughout the whole experience was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Breakfast was amazing and while I had to split off from the group halfway through for personal reasons, this was as a great experience. Would highly recommend!
Really great tour of Angkor Wat and the temples and other historical sites located around it. The breakfast included was also good. Our guide, Nara, was extremely knowledgeable on each of the temples and was ready to answer any questions we had, so the tour was really informative and gave a good insight into Khmer history. Definitely recommend!

It was amazing watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat. The tour company picked me up from my hotel and made sure we all had the temple tickets before moving onto the site. Sam, our tour guide, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the history and local area. He shared many stories and incorporated humour to make it more interesting. The temples we visited were great. It was nice seeing the place Tomb Raider was filmed. I would recommend this tour.
king Kong really made my visit somethijg worth remembering. He shared the history of Angkor Wat and Cambodia on a way easy to remember and engaging. the ride wasnt as smooth as in other tours but I highly recommend this one to learn history and to have a good time. he showed us the best bits of the complex and on top of that he is a superb photographer!
Lok was very friendly and knowledgeable and it was very interesting to hear some history about Angkor Wat and Cambodia as a whole. He also knows where to take the best pictures! Highly recommend this tour to anyone.
I had a great trip to the Temples with Lok who not only is very informative and knowledgeable, but also very friendly and kind. He gave us a lot of insight about each of the temples as well as providing important information about life in Cambodia that helped to contextualise it. I found the day very insightful, and defenitely the best way to see Angkor Wat and other temples! Lok was also a keen photographer which was great, especially when going on the tour alone.
Nara our guide was excellent, he shared lots of history and culture with us. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Angkor Wat and the temples were awesome.. Was a bit cloudy so missed the sunrise but that didn't matter, we would definately recommend.
The guide King Kong was great, funny and informative. He spaces the tour out by sharing his knowledge at times, and also giving us free time to explore on our own.
