A full-day trip from Siem Reap that visits Krong Siem Reap. The price covers Bike, Helmet and Transfer to/from hotel. It does not cover entrance to angkor wat, so budget for those separately. Everything included is listed in full on this page; if something is not on that list, assume it is not in the price. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport. Priced per person at about $104 each, so a party of 8 comes to $832. The price you see on this page is the total for the party size you pick, not a per-head figure to multiply. My sons, age 7 and 10 years and I had a great day biking Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm. The trip from the hotel to Angkor Wat was an experience in it self where we got of the beaten track and drove through jungle track, which was especially enjoyable by the boys. Our guide, Roem, was very knowledgeable and patient and adjusted plans according to our needs. He told history of the tempels spiced with personal anekdotes from his upbringing in the area - so cool. The lunch was delicious and offered a needed cooling down - Nice. I can truely recommend a trip with Blue Sky around the tempels at Angkor Wat
