Full description
This is a 7-hour experience from Siem Reap, built around Tuk tuk. It is run by Travel Choice Cambodia, an operator we book with directly rather than through a reseller, which is why we can hold your place with them before we treat your booking as final.
Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by Suryavarman II as a Hindu temple to Vishnu, later turned to Buddhist use, and it is the largest religious monument on earth at roughly 162 hectares inside its moat. Unlike almost every other Khmer temple it faces west. The outer gallery carries about 600 metres of bas-relief, including the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, and the central towers represent Mount Meru. The upper level has a dress code that is actually enforced: shoulders and knees covered, no vests, or you are turned back at the stairs. An Angkor Pass is required and costs USD 37 for one day, 62 for three and 72 for seven, sold only through Angkor Enterprise; under-12s are free on a passport.

Choum has been a wonderful guide all along the day in Angkor. He was perfectly on time to pick us up at the hotel and drove very carefully his tuktuk. He knows at lot about the history of the place and showed us all the places we wanted to visit. The activity is not expensive and really awesome. I highly recommend it and Choum too!

Super recommended. Choun was always very kind, he knows the area very well, and is always ready to give some advice. We hired him for just one day initially, but we repeated and ended up spending 4 days with him travelling around the temples. He was always on time waiting for us, and had some cold water to offer if needed.
