City God Temple
At this temple, you can participate in a traditional incense offering ritual. Pay homage to the City God who has guarded Shanghai since the Ming Dynasty by presenting incense and candles, praying for peace, health, and prosperity. Furthermore, you can also find a wide variety of snacks and souvenirs here, but the prices of these things are excluded from our total pricing.
Yu Garden
Yu Garden is the foremost of Shanghai's five classical gardens. It features winding corridors, delicate rockeries, and ponds dotted with koi fish. The Jade Rock and dragon-shaped walls also make it a peaceful escape from the city's bustle. If you are interested in tea culture, we recommend Huxinting Teahouse, a famous teahouse once visited by many foreign leaders. Here, you can savor fragrant tea paired with delicate dim sum, but the prices of these foods are excluded from our total pricing.
Shaolin Kungfu Experience
Finally, we will go to the Shaolin Kungfu Culture Center, where you will learn Chinese Kungfu under the guidance of a master. Start with the most authentic Shaolin basics and learn powerful, swift fist techniques, fluid staff movements, and the deep Zen wisdom embedded in every form. Whether your goal is to improve fitness, strengthen willpower, or simply explore traditional Chinese martial arts, this is where your dream begins.
Chedun Film Park
Explore Shikumen and other old buildings, then take a tram to experience the unique charm of old Shanghai.
The Bund & River Cruise
Finally, we will head to the Bund. Known as the "Exposition of International Architecture", the Bund is lined with modern Western-style buildings of various designs. Strolling along the riverside promenade, behind you lies the weighty legacy of a century of financial history, while stretches ahead of Pudong's skyscrapers. Here, you can go on a river cruise capturing iconic views of the Huangpu River.
From Shanghai to Hangzhou
After the visit, we will take you by high-speed train to Hangzhou (from the afternoon to the evening). Upon arrival in Hangzhou, you can check into the hotel designated by us. For every two travelers, we will arrange one room with either a king-size bed or two twin beds.
Zhenji Temple
Zhenji Temple is a famous temple with a history of around 2000 years. You need to hike up the mountain for about half an hour to reach the temple. In front of the temple stands a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, which is known as "Hangzhou's No. 1 Ancient Tree". The trunk is so thick that it needs at least five people to wrap their arms around it. Furthermore, in the Hall of the God of Wealth there are the Five Roads of Wealth Gods. Visitors can pray for blessings and it is said to be effective.
Qingteng Tea House
Qingteng Tea House is a popular tea house located by the West Lake. Here, you can learn about tea culture while savoring fragrant tea. Tea culture, as one of the Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity, serves as not only a crucial component of Chinese culture but also a cultural bridge between different cultures.
West Lake
West Lake is a World Cultural Heritage Site known as Heaven on Earth. Upon arriving at Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island, an unmissable sight is the three gourd-shaped stone pagodas standing in the lake; the circular holes carved on them and their reflections on the lake together form an iconic symbol of the West Lake. Strolling around the island, you can also admire various scenic spots such as Jiuqu Bridge and Kaiwang Pavilion, and appreciate the ever-changing views with every step.
Lingyin Temple
As the earliest temple in Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple boasts a history of nearly 1,700 years and is one of the ten most important Zen Buddhist temples in China. The temple features magnificent halls, and the camphor-wooden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha in the Mahavira Hall is especially awe-inspiring, making it a sacred place for prayers and wishes. Strolling through the temple, visitors can momentarily stay away from the hustle and bustle of city life and find inner peace.
Feilai Peak
Feilai Peak is renowned for its grotto sculptures with more than 300 stone-carved Buddhist statues scattered across its cliff faces. The sculptures inside Qinglin Cave and Yuru Cave are exquisitely delicate, forming a striking contrast with the tangled vines surrounding them. Wandering along the winding mountain trails, you can not only admire the superb craftsmanship of ancient artisans but also enjoy serenity and tranquility.
the Grand Canal
The Grand Canal is the world's longest and largest ancient canal, with a history of more than 2,500 years. By taking a cruise, you can admire the ancient stone arch of Gongchen Bridge, see the old red-brick buildings along the riverbank, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of daily life.
the Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural Block
Located beside Gongchen Bridge, it is a well-preserved block along the Grand Canal. Strolling along the stone-paved streets, you can admire waterside residences and stop at various distinctive shops, or sit by the canal, enjoy the breeze, and spend a relaxing afternoon. You may purchase snacks and souvenirs here, but the costs will be at your own expense.
