Day 1 — Shanghai → Hangzhou

Travel from Shanghai to Hangzhou by high-speed train and explore the quieter western side of West Lake. Enjoy a local noodle lunch, visit Guo's Villa, take a traditional rowed boat through Wuguitan, and enjoy sunset at Yuhu Bay. Stay overnight in a boutique hotel on the western side of West Lake.

Hangzhou → Wuzhen

Start early if you wish with Su Causeway and Damalong Market before entering Lingyin Temple at opening time. Continue to Yongfu Temple, then travel by private car to Wuzhen. Check into your canal-side inn inside Xizha and explore the dye yard, Tongji Bridge, and the illuminated canals on an evening rowed-boat ride.

Wuzhen Morning → Shanghai

Enjoy the reserved floating breakfast experience in the morning, followed by Wuzhen's quieter lanes and bridges. Visit the Mu Xin Art Museum and make your own piece of traditional blue calico. After a local lamb-noodle lunch, return to Shanghai by private car.
