Angkor Wat wurde in der ersten Haelfte des 12. Die aeussere Galerie traegt etwa 600 Meter Flachrelief, darunter das Buttern des Milchozeans, und die zentralen Tuerme stellen den Berg Meru dar. Auf der oberen Ebene gilt eine tatsaechlich durchgesetzte Kleiderordnung: Schultern und Knie bedeckt, keine Unterhemden, sonst werden Sie an der Treppe zurueckgewiesen. Ein Angkor Pass ist erforderlich und kostet 37 USD fuer einen Tag, 62 fuer drei und 72 fuer sieben, nur ueber Angkor Enterprise erhaeltlich; unter 12-Jaehrige sind mit Pass kostenlos.
