Angkor Wat wurde in der ersten Haelfte des 12. Jahrhunderts von Suryavarman II als hinduistischer Tempel fuer Vishnu errichtet, spaeter buddhistisch genutzt, und ist mit rund 162 Hektar innerhalb seines Grabens das groesste religioese Monument der Welt. Ein Angkor Pass ist erforderlich und kostet 37 USD fuer einen Tag, 62 fuer drei und 72 fuer sieben, nur ueber Angkor Enterprise erhaeltlich; unter 12-Jaehrige sind mit Pass kostenlos.

Mr Kosal was awesome! He has so much personality, and he’s so funny! He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to us and the other members of the group. The group was diverse and he made everyone feel included and catered the information of the tour to what each person was interested in, like the religious stories of the temples, or how the they were built, or the history behind them. He spoke English very understandably. He knew the good photo spots and took the time to take pictures of each group AND make sure they were happy with the photos. We had bad luck with our tour guide Noon. While he was nice, he explained very little about the temples and the history. He mainly gave us some weird facts about religion and language and we could not see how that related to the temples. While other groups toured the temples with their guides and were getting explanations, we were left to ourselves exploring the temples and \"guessing\" the history. He seemed to not take his job seriously and just doing what he wanted. He also needs to work on his English. Many times I could not understand him. The ticket to Angkor Wat is expensive and visiting
