Dies ist ein 60-stuendiges Erlebnis ab Siem Reap, rund um Pre Rup Temple und Banteay Srei Temple and Neak Pean Temple. Angkor Wat wurde in der ersten Haelfte des 12. Jahrhunderts von Suryavarman II als hinduistischer Tempel fuer Vishnu errichtet, spaeter buddhistisch genutzt, und ist mit rund 162 Hektar innerhalb seines Grabens das groesste religioese Monument der Welt. Im Gegensatz zu fast jedem anderen Khmer-Tempel ist er nach Westen ausgerichtet. Die aeussere Galerie traegt etwa 600 Meter Flachrelief, darunter das Buttern des Milchozeans, und die zentralen Tuerme stellen den Berg Meru dar. Auf der oberen Ebene gilt eine tatsaechlich durchgesetzte Kleiderordnung: Schultern und Knie bedeckt, keine Unterhemden, sonst werden Sie an der Treppe zurueckgewiesen. Ein Angkor Pass ist erforderlich und kostet 37 USD fuer einen Tag, 62 fuer drei und 72 fuer sieben, nur ueber Angkor Enterprise erhaeltlich; unter 12-Jaehrige sind mit Pass kostenlos.

We started our journey on the first day with a visit to Tonle Sap Lake, guided by AJ. He took us through the floating village, explaining lifestyle of the residents. We took a 2.5 days tour with Journey Cambodia as our guide to Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap floating village community. It was absolutely amazing, and - thanks to the low season - almost a private tour. We could visit both the most popular temples and buildings of Angkor, and some less popular but interesting ones. Wir haben eine 2,5 Tagestour zum Angkor Wat und den Floating Villages gemacht und es hat rundum alles gestimmt. Wir wurden jeden Morgen von einem klimatischen Bus abgeholt, der uns auch zu den verschiedenen Stopps gebracht und abgeholt hat. Der Guide Pireak war sehr freundlich und hat uns umfassend und interessant über alles informiert. Der Fahrer Keal hat uns immer, wenn wir nach einem Stopp zurück zum Bus kamen mit nassen Handtüchern und kühlem Wasser empfangen. Alles in allem ist die Tour sehr empfehlenswert!
