Eine ganztaegige Tour ab Siem Reap, die Krong Siem Reap, Angkor Wat und Angkor Thom and Ta Keo Temple besucht. Es gibt insgesamt 6 Stopps, sodass der Tag gut ausgefuellt ist, statt lange Luecken zwischen zwei oder drei Hoehepunkten zu lassen.

Angkor Wat wurde in der ersten Haelfte des 12. Jahrhunderts von Suryavarman II als hinduistischer Tempel fuer Vishnu errichtet, spaeter buddhistisch genutzt, und ist mit rund 162 Hektar innerhalb seines Grabens das groesste religioese Monument der Welt. Im Gegensatz zu fast jedem anderen Khmer-Tempel ist er nach Westen ausgerichtet. Die aeussere Galerie traegt etwa 600 Meter Flachrelief, darunter das Buttern des Milchozeans, und die zentralen Tuerme stellen den Berg Meru dar. Auf der oberen Ebene gilt eine tatsaechlich durchgesetzte Kleiderordnung: Schultern und Knie bedeckt, keine Unterhemden, sonst werden Sie an der Treppe zurueckgewiesen. Ein Angkor Pass ist erforderlich und kostet 37 USD fuer einen Tag, 62 fuer drei und 72 fuer sieben, nur ueber Angkor Enterprise erhaeltlich; unter 12-Jaehrige sind mit Pass kostenlos.

Perfect day with Will (Wi) at Angkor Wat. Day was supposed to start early, but our driver was flexible and we could start 1 hour later. This was essential, as it was going to be a long 8 hour day. Wi was punctual at our hotel for pick up. He then explained what we were going to do, and gave us flexibility how long we could be at each stop. This is a huge benefit compared to a tour with multiple people. A TukTuk is also ideal to go from Temple to Temple as you can enjoy seeing the other sighs easily compared to sitting in car, van or bus. I highly recommend Wi for exploring Angkor Wat if you do
