Dies ist ein 4-stuendiges Erlebnis ab Siem Reap, rund um River boat. Der Tonle Sap ist der groesste Suesswassersee Suedostasiens und kehrt zweimal im Jahr seine Fliessrichtung um: in der Monsunzeit drueckt der Mekong Wasser zurueck in den Tonle-Sap-Fluss, und der See schwillt mehrfach an, um sich ab etwa November wieder zu entleeren. Die Doerfer darauf leben damit. Die Pfahlhaeuser von Kampong Phluk stehen sechs bis zehn Meter hoch auf ihren Stelzen, im Maerz trocken darunter und im Oktober wadentief; Kampong Khleang ist groesser, weiter draussen und deutlich weniger besucht; Chong Kneas liegt am naechsten zu Siem Reap und ist am touristischsten. Welches Dorf passt und ob das Boot den ueberfluteten Wald ueberhaupt erreichen kann, haengt vollstaendig vom Monat ab.

Our guide was Ry Sareth. Communication before the tour was excellent. We were collected from our hotel. & taken to a cafe where other guests joined us. Then by aircon bus to a village on the side of the lake, a walk through, then a drive to out boat departure point. Approx 12 in our group. The lake cruise was good & we stopped at a floating cafe/shop before heading back to the boat departure point, then aircon bus dropping each guest at their hotels. A worthwhile tour & Ry Sareth was a good guide. Recommended.
It was genuinely fantastic, our tour guide sailor had an answer for everything from the floating village to the temples and how they make silk from the lotus flower. Honestly such a fun day highly recommend this tour.

This is a sunset tour of the floating village. Overall great experience seeing how the fishing village operates.
The tour was very well organized. We were contacted about the pick up time and location before the tour. Our guide was a very nice gentleman with excellent communication skills. The floating village is an amazing place to see. The river motorboat tour was awesome; however, the return part of the tour was cut short. The scenery on the right side during the outbound journey was more impressive, and since I was seated on the left side of the motorboat, I hadn’t recorded enough footage, thinking that I would see it on the way back. Trasposto eccellente e tutto si è svolto nei tempi previsti. La guida Ry è semplicemente incredibile. Parla inglese molto bene, ti spiega moltissime cose sulla cultura, usi, abitudini… molto aperto al dialogo, persona molto socievole che mi ha dato consigli per il mio viaggio, a prescindere dal tour che stavamo facendo. Molto bella e interessante la visitiamo ad un vero mercato e molto bella anche la visita al villaggio, nella stagione secca sicuramente non rende bene l’idea ma vale assolutamente la pena di venirci anche per aiutare la comunità.
