Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang ist der erste von sieben Tempeln, die den Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem im Osten Balis hinaufsteigen, und sein gespaltenes Tor rahmt an einem klaren Morgen den Mount Agung ein. Ein Shuttle faehrt vom Parkplatz hinauf zum Tempel, ein Sarong ist Pflicht, und der Agung ist meist vor neun Uhr klar zu sehen. Tagesausfluege im Osten Balis fuehren meist weiter zum Wasserpalast Tirta Gangga und zum Taman-Ujung-Palast an der Kueste.
