Surfkurse rund um Canggu finden an Beach Breaks statt, meist in Batu Bolong und Berawa, wo der Sandboden und die langsamen, bruechigen Wellen fuer die ersten Tage geeignet sind. Die Kurse dauern etwa zwei Stunden mit einem Softtop-Board und zunaechst einer kurzen Einheit im Sand, und die Lehrer schicken Anfaenger ins Weisswasser statt auf gruene Wellen zu warten. Morgen vor 9:00 Uhr sind in der Trockenzeit, April bis Oktober, am saubersten, wenn der Wind ablandig ist; die Regenzeit bringt groesseren, unruhigeren Surf und nachmittaegliche auflandige Winde. Rashguards werden gestellt, und Riffschuhe sind an diesen Straenden nicht noetig. Buchen Sie eine zweite Stunde erst nach der ersten; die meisten Leute stehen am Ende davon.
