Pura Luhur Uluwatu steht auf einer Klippe etwa 70 Meter ueber dem Meer an der suedwestlichen Spitze der Bukit-Halbinsel, einer von Balis sechs Richtungstempeln, verbunden mit dem Priester Empu Kuturan aus dem elften Jahrhundert. Der Kecak-Feuertanz wird jeden Abend gegen 18:00 Uhr in einem Amphitheater neben dem Tempel aufgefuehrt, zeitlich so gelegt, dass der Sonnenuntergang hinter den Taenzern liegt; er dauert etwa eine Stunde, der Gesang wird von einem Kreis von Maennern ohne Instrumente ausgefuehrt, und die Geschichte ist das Ramayana. Sarongs werden am Eingang gestellt. Die Affen des Tempels sind geuebte Diebe von Sonnenbrillen und Handys, also beides auf dem Klippenweg in einer Tasche verstauen.

Sometimes I feel they don’t know what Guides word stand for. First he ask us what we wanted to do the day before. Which is strange for a guide tour. I was prepared so I send him the list of things we had in mind the day before. When the day arrives he was not prepared at all and brought us very far from the supposed destination to a touristic place with no charm that cost us more than the tour itself. A Gojek would have done better. We have stop the tour half way.

Nachdem unserer Guide Putu Sandi der zufällig auch noch sehr gut deutsch sprechen konnte uns pünktlich aus unserem Hotel abgeholt hatte ging es in Richtung Nusa Dua wo wir erstmal Parasailing und danach den Seawalk machten. Es war einfach traumhaft die Umgebung von oben zu beobachten und danach die ganzen Fische und Anemonen unter Wasser zu beobachten. Wir haben dazu gleich noch einen Fotografen gebucht der uns fotografiert und gefilmt hat während wir in der Luft hingen und unter Wasser die ganzen Fische gefüttert und bestaunt haben. Danach ging es in Richtung Ubud wo er uns dann zu einigen Ku
