Today was the absolute best day ever! We had Linda as our tour guide and I have never met anyone as happy and energetic and passionate as her. She knew so much background and went out of her way to make sure that we had the BEST views of Mt Fuji. Our guide, Erina, was outstanding—professional, incredibly knowledgeable about the history, geology, and cultural significance of the area, and genuinely enthusiastic throughout the day. Nobody can promise it. Fuji is clear on roughly a third of days, most often on winter mornings, and from June to September it is in cloud more often than not. The tour runs regardless and the lakes, the pagoda and the ropeway are planned to be worth the day without the summit. There is no refund for cloud.
