Wow, what an intense experience! We had no idea how powerful Sumo’s were and to see them up close during their real practice was amazing. Anthony was a great guide who provided an overview of Sumo and its cultural significance. We were glad there were seats to sit on, we’d been worried we’d be on the floor. Highly recommend!!

Our guide Yuki made this experience even better than I hoped for. He was clearly a sumo fan himself and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some insight into an ancient cultural aspect in of Japan.

It was a truly unique experience, one that would be hard to surpass in terms of authenticity. Huge credit to the athletes, the Master, and the stable for sharing such a fascinating glimpse into their world. Anthony was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate. Our guide Kawa was very knowledgeable and welcoming. It was great to see Sumo wrestlers just going about their training sessions, it really is incredible to watch. We had questions after and Kawa was happy and able to answer all of them. I would highly recommend this activity.

We had a lot of fun visiting a sumo stable with our guide, Kawa. Kawa is very knowledgeable about sumo and was able to explain the sport and answer our many questions. This is a unique opportunity to access a sumo stable, get close to the wrestlers, and watch them train and spar. You won’t see this outside of Japan. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent tour. It felt genuinely authentic being an actual practice session at a Sumo stables. Our guide Kawa was brilliant and gave us an excellent primer on sumo wrestling and training beforehand which really helped us get the most out of our visit. Highly recommend,
