Eine Stunde auf dem Wasser rund um den Louvre Abu Dhabi, die Perspektive, fuer die das Gebaeude entworfen wurde, und die fast niemand sieht.

Jean Nouvels Kuppel liegt absichtlich ueber Wasser, und ihre Aussenanlagen reichen bis zum Meer hinunter. Von einem Kajak aus fahren Sie darunter und darum herum auf Augenhoehe, nah genug, um zu sehen, wie das Gitterwerk zusammengesetzt ist, waehrend die Museumsbesucher von innen zu Ihnen hinausschauen.

Das Wasser hier ist ruhig und geschuetzt, sodass keine Erfahrung noetig ist. Ein Guide fuehrt durchgehend und gibt das Tempo vor.

Schwimmwesten, wasserdichte Taschen und ein Sicherheitsbriefing sind enthalten, und es gibt eine Wasserauffuellstation statt Flaschenwasser, bringen Sie also eine Flasche zum Auffuellen mit.

Achtung: zwei Dinge wert zu planen. Der Louvre Abu Dhabi ist montags geschlossen, das Paddeln ist davon nicht betroffen, aber wenn Sie beides wollen, vermeiden Sie einen Montag. Und zwischen Juni und September nehmen Sie den fruehesten oder spaetesten verfuegbaren Termin, eine Stunde auf offenem Wasser in Abu Dhabis Mittagssonne ist anstrengender, als es klingt, und es gibt dort keinen Schatten.

Am besten an einem der beiden Tagesenden, wenn das Licht schraeg ueber die Kuppel faellt statt direkt von oben.

It was great to see the Louvre from the water. It provides a completely different perspective, very unique. Make sure to bring a change of clothes, you will be wet as some water runs through the seat. We were guided by Shakil and Waseem. Both seem very professional and well aware of the museum and the construction of it.

Really relaxing and unique experience! I did the 7:30 am tour so the whole area was really quiet but cool to get up close into the Lourve and also to enjoy the sunrise! Would recommend!

Amazing experience to see the museum by kayak, learning about the architecture and history. Bonus was seeing the sunset and beautiful Abu Dhabi skyline throughout. Note the waters can get choppy as you go around, expect to put in quite a bit of effort. Although once you’re within the vicinity of the museum it’s easy and relaxing. The team were friendly and helpful, there an area for you to change and they provide a waterproof bag for your phones should you wish to take photos. All in all, good experience, recommended. On this occasion it was just us and the guide. Gem of an activity to round off your trip to the Louvre

Great value for money. Ramshat really took his time when paddling around the Louvre, letting us enjoy it as much as we could. We booked a 5 PM slot, and only were 5 people, making it a truly relaxing experience. Can highly recommend!
