Eine Abra ist das Holzboot, das seit Jahrzehnten den Dubai Creek ueberquert, und hier faehrt eines statt dessen an der modernen Kuestenlinie entlang, vorbei an der Palm, Atlantis, Bluewaters und Ain Dubai.

Der Kontrast ist die ganze Idee. Diese Boote wurden fuer eine arbeitende Creek in einer Perlenfischerstadt gebaut, und hier tuckert eines davon an einem Resort in Schlossform und dem groessten Aussichtsrad der Welt vorbei. Es ist die billigste Art, auf diesen Wasserabschnitt zu kommen, und seltsamerweise eine der denkwuerdigsten.

Offene Seiten, niedrig ueber dem Wasser, und langsam genug, um wirklich hinzusehen, statt im Vorbeifahren zu fotografieren.

Erwarten Sie keine Yacht. Es gibt keine Bar, keinen Schatten ausser einem Dach, und kein Schwimmen, es ist eine Bootsfahrt, zu dem Preis einer Bootsfahrt.

Am besten in der letzten Stunde Tageslicht oder nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit, wenn Ain Dubai und die Atlantis-Fassade beleuchtet sind und die eigenen Lichter der Abra eingeschaltet sind. Mitten an einem Sommertag ist es heiss und ungeschuetzt und dieselbe Fahrt ist deutlich weniger angenehm.

Schwimmwesten werden gestellt und keine Erfahrung ist erforderlich.

Definitely recommend this. We took the ride at 5.p.m so we enjoed both daylight and night views. The guide was very nice, made us photos for free. We got a bottles of water.

We ended up with effectively a private tour as the boat ran with just the two of us. Very relaxing with several photo stops where the guides were more than happy to take photographs for us. A great way to spend a couple of hours and see the sights of Dubai from the water
