Ein Flyboard ist ein an den Fuessen befestigtes Board, das von einem Wasserstrahl angetrieben wird und Sie aus dem Meer hebt und dort haelt. Dreissig Minuten mit einem Instructor, vor der Kueste von Umm Suqeim mit dem Burj Al Arab hinter Ihnen.

Niemand fliegt sofort. Die ersten zehn Minuten werden damit verbracht, das Gleichgewicht zu finden, waehrend der Instructor vom Boot aus den Gasgriff steuert, und die meisten Leute stehen bis zur Haelfte stabil und tauchen am Ende wie ein Delfin. Diese Entwicklung ist der ganze Reiz.

Keine Erfahrung ist noetig und Sie muessen kein starker Schwimmer sein, eine Schwimmweste wird durchgehend getragen und der Instructor ist mit Ihnen im Wasser.

Fotos und Videos werden vom Instructor gemacht und danach gesendet, was hier mehr zaehlt als bei den meisten Aktivitaeten: dies ist wirklich schwer selbst zu fotografieren und sieht viel dramatischer aus, als es sich anfuehlt.

Schliessfaecher und eine Umkleide mit offener Dusche werden gestellt. Kontaktlinsen lohnt es sich gegen eine an Land gelassene Brille zu tauschen, oder sie zu verlieren.

It was a fantastic experience and I absolutely loved every second of it. Worth the money. And my guide Sampat was patient and he taught only what needed to be taught step by step - by the end of it - I was easily Flyboarding (okay not so easily but airtime increased quite a bit) ! Dil was also very kind and helpful ! 10/10 Experience with Nemo - also go for early morning slot for experience and evening slot for photos - take your pick
