Ein reservierter Platz im Heritage-Zug über den Hai-Van-Pass, dem schönsten Bahnabschnitt Vietnams.

Die Strecke folgt der Küste zwischen Da Nang und Hue und steigt auf den Hai Van, den Wolkenpass am Meer, auf einem in die Bergflanke geschnittenen Sims. Etwa vierzig Minuten lang hängt das Gleis über der Lagune von Lang Co, mit dem Meer direkt unter dem Fenster und der Felswand auf der anderen Seite. Jeremy Clarkson nannte sie bei Top Gear eine der besten Küstenstraßen der Welt, und die Bahn liegt über der Straße, mit der besseren Aussicht.

Der Pass ist außerdem eine echte Klimagrenze. Er hält den Nordostmonsun ab, sodass Da Nang auf der Südseite oft trocken und warm ist, während Hue auf der Nordseite am selben Nachmittag grau und nass ist. Man sieht das Wetter durch das Fenster wechseln.

Der Heritage-Zug ist der Touristenzug und nicht der gewöhnliche Nahverkehr: Polstersitze, Klimaanlage, große Fenster, gebaut zum Hinausschauen.

It was a great trip! Amazing musical performers and the food available to purchase was delicious. It was nice to be able to walk about the train and stretch your legs whenever you needed too. Highly reccomend.

alot of beautiful scenery along the way we decided to take a car ride to hue arrived 9 am $40 spent the day exploring, there is plenty of ride options if walking is not your thing, We walked to train station , took afternoon train back to da nang ,sat in coach 1 left side this train ride is good for all ages,

Incredible scenic train ride! The views through Hai Van Pass were stunning and the whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. Definitely one of the best ways to travel between Da Nang and Hue. Highly recommended!
