Da Nang ist die Stadt der Zentralküste, dreißig Kilometer Strand von der Halbinsel Son Tra bis zu den Marmorbergen, und von hier starten die Tagesausflüge Zentralvietnams. Ba Na Hills, 40 Kilometer westlich, ist eine französische Bergstation, die auf 1.400 Metern als Themenpark wieder aufgebaut wurde, erreichbar mit einer der längsten Seilbahnen der Welt, mit der Goldenen Brücke, die zwei riesige steinerne Hände tragen; fahren Sie früh, es ist kühl und voll. Die Marmorberge sind fünf Kalksteinhügel voller Höhlen und Pagoden mit Blick auf die Küste. Auf Son Tra stehen die 67 Meter hohe Lady Buddha und leben die letzten Rotschenkligen Kleideraffen. Der Hai-Van-Pass, die Straße nach Norden Richtung Hue, ist die landschaftlich schönste Fahrt des Landes, mit dem Motorrad oder Auto und Stopps an den alten französischen und amerikanischen Bunkern auf der Passhöhe.

Everything was perfectly organized. Private pickup, flexible timing, and a car always waiting for us. David chose the best time so we avoided long queues and big crowds.
