Drei Stunden Angeln in der Lan-Ha-Bucht mit Männern, die davon leben.
Lan Ha ist die Nachbarbucht von Halong, vor der Insel Cat Ba, und die stillere der beiden. Dieselbe versunkene Karstlandschaft läuft nach Süden weiter, aber die große Kreuzfahrtflotte bleibt überwiegend in Halong selbst, sodass in Lan Ha mehr Arbeitsboote als Touristenboote fahren und rund 300 Inseln mit weit weniger Motoren dazwischen liegen.
Geangelt wird hier mit Handleine und Rute von einem kleinen Boot und nicht mit Stuhl und Gurt. Die Fischer wissen, wo die Fische an den Karstfüßen stehen, und dieses Wissen gibt keine Karte her: der Kalkstein fällt steil ins tiefe Wasser ab, und die ertragreichen Stellen sind bestimmte Felsen, keine allgemeinen Gebiete.
Die schwimmenden Dörfer gehören zum Bild. Familien in Lan Ha leben auf Flößen mit Fischgehegen darunter, in denen sie Zackenbarsch und Schnapper ziehen, und die Boote arbeiten um sie herum.
Drei Stunden sind eine echte Ausfahrt und keine Fotogelegenheit. Etwas zu fangen ist wahrscheinlich, aber nicht versprochen; das ist Angeln.

A Cat Ba must-do! The guide, Xan, took us from the town out to a local fishing village on his boat. We had 3 hours of fishing and caught several sea bream; which Xan later cooked for us. Some of the best sea bream I’ve ever had. Xan’s genuine love for fishing was what made it such a memorable experience. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Despite limited fishing experience we were both able to catch multiple fish. A fantastic way to relax and enjoy Cat Ba the local way.

We had a great time on this tour. The captain took us around the bay and we had the chance to see some very scenic views. We then fished for a few hours and caught a lot of fish as well as an octopus which the captain cooked for us! Smiley was our tour organiser and she was very flexible with the hours to ensure everything went well, great experience!
We had a wonderful day on this small boat. We were able to see Lan Ha Bay, enjoy a lovely atmosphere with a friendly guide, and we even returned via a visit to the fishing village, absolutely stunning at sunset! I highly recommend this activity to avoid the crowds

bonjour, nous venons de terminer l activite et nous sommes particulierement décus...Ne vous attendez pas à pêcher.... 1h30 de bateau pour aller jusqu’à l’île au singe, nous etions 4, le capitaine n’avait que 3 "cannes" (4m de fil sur 1, un embout cassé sur l’autre et un moulinet defaillant...). au bout de 30min le capitaine nous a propose de faire un tour sur l’île car apparement au vietnam il n’y a pas de poissons... Heureusement que le captinaine a sortie la bouteille de rhum et les bieres pour oublier la partie de peche mediocre... dommage qu’il etait 10h du matin ahah.... si vous souhaitez
