Hoi An: Holzschnitzkurs mit einem Meisterhandwerker

My 6-year-old daughter and I took the woodcut class. Pickup went smoothly, and everything on site was well organised. It's a really lovely family business. They explained everything well and were very helpful. It was quite challenging for us and required some patience, but it gave us a great appreciation for the craft of woodcarving.

This workshop had everything I was looking for! I attended with my two sons—it was a truly fun family activity. It was an incredibly creative and enjoyable workshop! We worked with wood and created lovely pieces. The instructor was amazing—so kind and courteous—and he helped us finish the work professionally, so we left feeling proud and happy with our creations. There is also a small museum showcasing the village's unique woodwork and the talented owner's creations. so so worth it! we got to customise the design of the wood art. my friend and i did a whale and a duck holding banh mi. hata and fu helped us a lot and guide us through the entire process. 100% would recommend!!

The wood carving class was amazing, I absolutely recommend, the setting is perfect and the tutor patient and helpful. I think it's my favourite activity in Hoi An.

Totally enjoyed the experience! The activity started with the host welcoming us and guiding us through two rooms of wood carving displays created by two generations of wood carving masters. Next, the trainers guided us in tracing and carving our designs. They were very attentive to our work and would step in to help whenever needed.

very interesting to see how they work and you get a unique experience to carve whatever you like yourself and you are allowed to take it home. The people working there are all super nice

We loved this workshop!! the instructors were lovely, the setting was beautiful by the river, and we had all the materials needed to create something unique. I felt really supported and was shown what to do step by step, without feeling rushed. The actual gallery of sculptures is amazing to see, and watching the artists at work was really interesting. This was the best thing we did in Hoi An and we left with an amazing souvenir!

it was interesting to learn a new skill. it was nice to see the enthusiasm that the people working there have for their craft. everyone was very helpful and kind. the handmade souvenir is made extra special by a handson experience. try it, you won't regret it!

This was one of my highlights of hoi an…. The driver takes about 45 minutes to take you to a lovely chilled out place near a river where you get to try your hand at wood carving - they also show you round the museum to showcase how it should be done too! They were so helpful - this was my first attempt and I was so slow and they helped me massively.. if you have a morning free and fancy doing something different do have a go! It’s so fun and you have something to take home with you too!
