Sa Pa liegt auf 1.600 Metern im Hoang-Lien-Gebirge nahe der chinesischen Grenze, eine französische Bergstation der 1920er-Jahre und heute Ausgangspunkt für Trekkingtouren durch die Terrassentäler der Hmong-, Dao- und Giay-Dörfer. Die klassische Wanderung führt vom Ort über Cat Cat oder Y Linh Ho hinunter nach Lao Chai und Ta Van entlang des Muong-Hoa-Tals, fünf bis sechs Stunden, mit Mittagessen in einem Dorfhaus und, bei der Zweitagesvariante, einer Übernachtung im Homestay; die meisten Touren führen einheimische Hmong-Frauen, und die Pfade sind nach Regen schlammig. Der Fansipan, mit 3.143 Metern Indochinas höchster Gipfel, ist eine Seilbahnfahrt von 15 Minuten oder ein zweitägiger Aufstieg. Die Terrassen stehen im Mai und Juni spiegelglatt unter Wasser und sind im September golden; von Dezember bis Februar ist es kalt, oft neblig, und gelegentlich schneit es. Der Sonntagsmarkt von Bac Ha, zwei Stunden entfernt, ist der große Markt der Blumen-Hmong.

As an overseas Viet Kieu, I’m all about supporting my home country and its inhabitants and really enjoyed learning about Tung (my guide) & his Black Hmong Culture. This activity is a great way to see much of Sapa with a break from having to hike! You can request for a driver or ride yourself.

we had a super good time with our guide Toa yesterday! i've only ridden a scooter once in Indo for a few days and my husband had never ridden one before so we were a little apprehensive about how suitable it'll be for first timers considering the inclines on the terrain and the village roads. however after getting to try how the bikes felt and how to operate it my husband decided to give it a go on his own and we had one of the best times ever thanks to our guide who was super funny and rly engaged with a lot of stories to tell 😆 it was such a good way to spend the morning (of course we were b

One of the best excursions we’ve done in Vietnam. Tung was a great guide, he showed us a lot of things. This is a Great way of seeing many things which you wouldn’t normally see. The motorbikes were well maintained, and everything was great.

This was easily the best part of my trip to Vietnam. Toa our guide was amazing, he kept the spirits high and was a fantastically fun guide to spend the day with. He looked after us all and made us laugh along the way. The views we saw were incredible, and we got some beautiful photos. The trip was a good mix of small treks to waterfalls, to riding around the villages on the scooters. The included lunch was delicious and the view from lunch was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this tour

I had a fantastic experience on this tour with Tùng. He was super friendly and drove me to all the sights safely. He let me explore and showed me things along the way. We finished a little bit early and he offered to take me to another sight which I really appreciated! Definitely can recommend this tour, especially with Tùng!
