I booked this tour because it is one of the few with Ta Van as starting point, perfect for if you are staying in the village already. I was the only one on my tour today so private but I think it depends on the day. We started from Ta Van village and hiked for 3 hours, the views are amazing and there is alot of variety in the scenery. Beware if you are a beginner because the trek can be quite challenging at some parts and there is alot of walking up and down on some steep paths or stepping stones over creeks.
