Esta es una experiencia de 4 horas desde Phnom Penh, centrada en Sisowath Riverside Park y Prek Bongkong Pagoda and Traditional village. El campo inmediatamente alrededor de Siem Reap es arrozal, palmeras de azucar y pueblos que estan a cinco minutos de la carretera de los templos y que rara vez ven quienes hacen los circuitos. La palmera de azucar es el arbol nacional y su savia es extraida de la corona por hombres que trepan un palo con muescas dos veces al dia, hervida luego para obtener el azucar de palma que se usa en cada cocina jemer. El ano del arroz lo determina todo: trasplante en los meses humedos, campos verdes durante las lluvias, cosecha hacia noviembre y diciembre, luego rastrojo seco y polvo. A ultima hora de la tarde es cuando la luz funciona mejor y cuando los pueblos estan activos, por lo que la mayoria de estos paseos se extienden hasta el atardecer.

We booked the Bike and Boat tour in Phnom Penh with Siem Reaper. Our guides Kimleng and Sath were fantastic company, providing us with great local knowlwdge and insights. After a quick ferry across the river we explored the quiet countryside on quality Trek mountain bikes. We were suprised how quickly we got to the countryside, so this is a great activity to escape the city. On the tour we visited a local silk farm and handcraft maker alongside learning about local customs. We were provided with plenty of food and drinks on the way, finished off with a private sunset cruise back to the city. A

Great cycle, through off road, local countryside areas. Meeting local Cambodian people. V cool cycling onto and off river ferry. Lots of stops and cool river cruise at end with fees beer and food.
