La danza apsara toma su nombre y sus poses de las bailarinas celestiales talladas por miles en los muros de Angkor, y la forma clasica se reconstruyo tras los anos de los jemeres rojos a partir del puñado de maestros que sobrevivieron. Las posiciones de las manos son un vocabulario fijo, cada una con un significado, y los dedos de una bailarina entrenada se doblan hacia atras mas de lo que parece posible porque el entrenamiento comienza en la infancia. La mayoria de los espectaculos de Siem Reap vienen con un bufet; las funciones serias son mas cortas y se venden por separado. Amazing show!!! 5 course meal was delicious and the chef came round after to personally ask how the food was which I thought was a lovely touch. You get a chance at the end to take a picture with the dancers. Everyone was so helpful and smiley. Highly recommend
Traveling with our two teens (17 and 13), the Kanell Dinner Show in Siem Reap was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we stepped into the lush garden, beautifully decorated for the night, we were captivated. Our 7-course dinner, expertly crafted by the chef, was delicious and beautifully presented. We were mesmerized by seven stunning performances - from the graceful Apsara dance to the powerful Bokator demonstrations - even our 13-year-old was fully engaged. Such a wonderful experience! I recommend going before temples so you can really appreciate the carvings of ancient Aspara dancers.

Peut-on réellement parler de danse !? Des mouvements hyper lents sur une musique agaçante … Encore bien qu’il y avait un peu de mouvement avec la démonstration d’arts martiaux. Pour le reste, le dîner non plus n’était vraiment pas exceptionnel… cela ne vaut vraiment pas la peine. Une soirée gâchée !
This really was an incredible experience. The welcome and escort to our table was wonderful. The 7 course dinner was fantastic with the courses arranged to coincide with the dances and performances. We chose the wine pairing add-on which I would recommend. The dancing and staging and martial arts displays were brilliant with the ‘naughty monkeys’ appearing throughout the audience. It was great to see the performers interact with the crowd, very funny indeed. A wonderfully welcoming experience highly recommended.
