El Tonle Sap es el lago de agua dulce mas grande del sudeste asiatico e invierte su direccion dos veces al ano: en el monzon el Mekong empuja el agua de vuelta hacia el rio Tonle Sap y el lago se hincha varias veces su tamano, para luego drenar de nuevo a partir de noviembre. Los pueblos que viven en el se adaptan a eso. Las casas sobre pilotes de Kampong Phluk se elevan de seis a diez metros sobre sus patas, secas por debajo en marzo y a la altura de los tobillos en octubre; Kampong Khleang es mas grande, mas alejado y mucho menos visitado; Chong Kneas es el mas cercano a Siem Reap y el mas turistico. Que pueblo funciona, y si el barco puede siquiera llegar al bosque inundado, depende por completo del mes.

I had Sam as a tour guide and he was very informative and I learned a lot about the villages thanks to him. He made the experience so much better. I have to come back and do the tour again with him when the water is higher. The driver did a great job too. Mr. Sarun as our guide did a tremendous job. He explained a lot on culture, history and local food. Combined with a great sense of humor he made the day a very memorable one.

it was a lovely tour with totally different scenery to the city. Seeing how the people live and trade and work. A tour guide ,I really liked as he did not once asked us to do a review on any of the app sites for tourist. I did a number of tours and it go to the stag that it was annoying so many guides requesting this. Our guide today did not ask anyone which was brill and made the tour more enjoyable. Thanks again for you qualilities on this day tour.
