Un recorrido de medio dia desde Siem Reap que visita Krong Siem Reap y Banteay Chey Market and Phnom Krom.
El campo inmediatamente alrededor de Siem Reap es arrozal, palmeras de azucar y pueblos que estan a cinco minutos de la carretera de los templos y que rara vez ven quienes hacen los circuitos. La palmera de azucar es el arbol nacional y su savia es extraida de la corona por hombres que trepan un palo con muescas dos veces al dia, hervida luego para obtener el azucar de palma que se usa en cada cocina jemer. A ultima hora de la tarde es cuando la luz funciona mejor y cuando los pueblos estan activos, por lo que la mayoria de estos paseos se extienden hasta el atardecer.

This tour was a surprise highlight of Siem Reap. Sokpee was a memorable guide, and explained how the morning market operates (aha! It explained a few things!). This includes having dessert after breakfast. Excellent idea! We also visited the nearby monastery before getting on our retro bikes for a cruise around the countryside. Make sure you stop for a fried banana! Sokpee is knowledgeable and friendly and happily answered all my questions. And be sure to allow time (and space!) for an excellent home made lunch afterwards!
The tour was absolutely amazing! It was even better than we expected. We got to visit a local market, a beautiful temple with monks, and a lotus farm, while also trying some delicious local food. The lunch at the end was especially delicious! The bike ride was easy, relaxing, and really enjoyable, and we loved getting to discover the local way of life. Everyone we met was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour! It’s a wonderful way to discover the area, experience the local culture, and it’s absolutely worth the price.
This was a great tour to see the countryside, early local market and Temple. The big plus was that the cycle part of the tour commenced from the tour base in the country. No need to bike through the traffic in town. My guide Sayoeun was first class and very informative. Once the cycling was finished I was treated to a nice lunch by Sam and his team. Sam uses the funds from the tour to run a village English language school for 6 year olds, definitely something to support. Totally recommend this to anyone wanting a safe and relaxing tour in the countryside.
An amazing morning tour through the daily market, the Buddhist Temple, and a peaceful and serene village experience! Great opportunity to escape the scripted tour and learn more about the daily lives of the local people. Highly recommended!!
