Esta es una sesion de verdadero trabajo del metal vestida con un entorno inusual. El estudio tiene mapping de proyeccion 3D, y las imagenes en las paredes responden al sonido del martillo, de modo que la sala cambia mientras usted trabaja. Suena a truco, y lo es, pero el oficio que hay debajo es real: forjado, con plata 925, bajo la guia uno a uno de un artesano.
Forjar significa dar forma al metal trabajandolo en lugar de fundirlo, lo que produce una pieza mas densa y mejor que un molde. Usted empieza con plata en bruto que martilla, recuece y termina hasta convertirla en la pieza elegida. Los principiantes son la norma aqui; el artesano trabaja con usted todo el tiempo y el grupo se limita a cuatro personas.
Se ofrecen tres opciones. El curso de collar produce una pieza terminada que se lleva el mismo dia. El curso de pulsera es el mas elaborado, una pulsera de plata forjada de hasta 3 mm de ancho en talla M, que requiere mas de los noventa minutos porque hay mas metal que mover. Y para quien quiera que la pieza importe aun mas, existe un curso de anillo de oro de 18 quilates, tambien el mismo dia.
El grabado laser, incluida su propia letra, y el recubrimiento antiempane estan disponibles como extras. Existe un plan de procesado de tres dias para el collar que incluye grabado y recubrimiento, si prefiere tenerlo bien terminado y recogerlo mas tarde.
El taller esta en Minami 2-jo Nishi, en el distrito de Chuo-ku, a tres minutos a pie del metro, en pleno centro del distrito de restaurantes y vida nocturna de Sapporo.
