La ruta alpina de Tateyama Kurobe es una travesia mas que un destino. Sube desde el fondo del valle hasta la meseta de Murodo a 2.450 metros usando una cadena de telecabinas, telefericos y autobuses electricos que atraviesan la montana, y la razon de su fama es lo que pasa en primavera: la carretera se despeja a traves de un manto de nieve de hasta veinte metros de profundidad, dejando un corredor con muros de nieve que se alzan a ambos lados.
La ruta cambia por completo segun la temporada. Muros de nieve de abril a junio. Aire alpino limpio y terreno volcanico en verano. De septiembre a octubre, rojo y oro por las crestas, uno de los colores de otono mas tempranos y espectaculares de Japon, porque a esta altitud cambia semanas antes que en las tierras bajas.
El argumento practico para hacerlo en privado es el transito en si. La ruta es una cadena de varios pasos con horarios fijos, billetes separados en varias etapas y colas que se forman rapido en temporada alta, y equivocarse cuesta horas. Su guia gestiona los horarios y las compras de billetes in situ, navega por los traslados y le hace las fotos mientras usted mira las montanas en lugar de un panel de salidas.
La recogida y el regreso al hotel en vehiculo privado estan incluidos, junto con todos los peajes, tarifas de aparcamiento y todo el combustible. El grupo es solo su propia compania, limitado a siete personas.
Se ofrecen dos puntos de salida: un circuito de ida y vuelta desde Nagano de doce horas, o desde Matsumoto de once. El almuerzo no esta incluido, y hay lugares para comer en la meseta. El clima a 2.450 metros tiene sus propias reglas, lleve una capa adicional sea lo que diga el pronostico en el valle.

I loved the experience, the views were amazing and the guides were taking good pictures of us the whole time. I was glad to book a guided tour as this route is stressfull to get to and do alone. Since we wanted to hike a bit more, the guides walked us through a little extra area which was nice. They also provided great food recommendations for Nagano following our trip.I do wish the price was inclusive of the entry to the parc, the whole experience felt a bit expensive overall.

Our guide Chris was super nice and helpful. He arrived at our hotel exactly on time and he took pictures through out the trip and sent them to us in the evening. The trip was great, we had good weather and the views were breathtaking with the early autumn leaves.
