La noche esta estructurada de forma flexible en lugar de fija: su guia lee lo que quiere, y la ruta entre bares, azoteas y comida nocturna cambia con el dia de la semana, ya que Colombo esta mucho mas tranquila a principios de semana y mas animada a partir del jueves. Diga a su guia al principio si quiere cocteles y azoteas, o cerveza y comida callejera, y la ruta sigue eso.

El tuk-tuk es parte de la experiencia en lugar de solo transporte. Recorrer Fort de noche, pasando por las puertas del puerto y la Torre del Loto iluminada, con el aire del mar entrando por los lados abiertos, es una ciudad diferente de la que vio al mediodia. Las distancias son cortas y los trayectos entre locales suelen durar de cinco a quince minutos.

Una nota practica: no se sirve alcohol en los dias de luna llena de Poya en ningun lugar de Sri Lanka, y muchos bares cierran por completo. Si su fecha cae en un dia de Poya, la noche se convierte en un tour de comida y luces de la ciudad en su lugar. Su guia confirmara esto al reservar.

December to March is the driest stretch.
