El museo de historia natural de la isla de Saadiyat, dedicado a la historia de la propia Tierra en lugar de la de los Emiratos: tiempo profundo, geologia, evolucion y la ciencia que se hace ahora.
La coleccion va desde material meteoritico mas antiguo que el planeta hasta especimenes fosiles, pasando por galerias interactivas sobre como se hace realmente la ciencia. Hay exhibiciones de investigacion junto a las piezas expuestas, algo inusual: se puede ver el trabajo y no solo sus conclusiones.
Las zonas infantiles estan realmente disenadas para ninos en lugar de ser un rincon con una pantalla, y por eso es una de las mejores atracciones familiares de Abu Dhabi.
Reserve dos horas, mas con ninos que se involucren.
Se encuentra en el distrito cultural de Saadiyat junto al Louvre Abu Dhabi y el Zayed National Museum, por lo que un solo dia en la isla puede cubrir razonablemente dos de los tres. Intentar los tres en un dia es posible y es muchisimo museo.
Totalmente interior y con aire acondicionado, lo que lo convierte en una buena opcion para la mitad de un dia de verano cuando las opciones al aire libre no son utilizables.

I visited this museum mostly because of its stunning architecture and I was not disappointed. The whole building make a huge impression! Highly recommend for all architecture enthusiasts and geeks!
Extraordinary building, breathtaking architecture and touching and very modern exhibitions. We spent almost three hours there, including coffee break and walking on the roof of the building. Also garden in front is stunning and interesting. Surely this museum will win any architectural and museum award this year!
Graham was helpful in the sale of gifts Second floor was misleading the direction you had to walk through the exhibitions. Needs to be more clearer arrow markers on floor would help.
The architecture of the museum is breathtaking! The history of the country is beautifully laid out. Secret tip: have lunch at the restaurant - it’s world class for a very good price! Also, for little kids, you can borrow a stroller if the little ones get tired.

Shammad was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. The building is spectacular. The only thing I would suggest is to provide contact info for the guide. The meeting point is very crowded and it would help in connecting with the guide.
