Al Khayma es el mas grande de los campamentos del desierto y este es el boleto premium para el, que en la practica significa tres buffets separados en lugar de una sola fila, un area con asientos alejada del bullicio principal, y suficiente tiempo para aprovechar el campamento correctamente en lugar de comer e irse.

La tarde comienza como cualquier buen safari: recogida en el hotel en 4x4, neumaticos desinflados en la linea de dunas, y media hora por la arena roja. Le siguen el sandboarding y un paseo en camello, y hay un halcon en el campamento, el ave se posa en su guante, lo cual da una foto mejor de lo que la mayoria espera.

Los tres buffets son emirati, marroqui y arabe, cada uno con su propia estacion en vivo, y duran lo suficiente para que no se sienta apurado. Alrededor, el campamento ofrece henna, shisha, alimentacion de camellos, y los espectaculos de Tanoura y fuego de la noche.

Dos cosas a tener en cuenta. El dune bashing no es suave, asi que mencione cualquier problema de espalda, cuello o mareo al reservar. Y el desierto se vuelve genuinamente frio despues del anochecer entre noviembre y febrero, el campamento es abierto por los lados y una chaqueta hace que las ultimas dos horas sean mucho mas agradables.

Amazing experience on this safari. Ask the activities were fun and well catered for our children. Food at the end was amazing and activities were plentiful. Highly recommend it.

Wow, wow, wow! This trip exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Babar, was friendly, informative and incredibly attentive. He taught us so much about the history and culture of the UAE and made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the experience. The highlights for me were the dune bashing, quad biking and camel ride. The food was delicious and plentiful, and there were several air-conditioned tents where you could escape the intense heat when needed. My 10-year-old loved every minute of it! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience—and especially Babar—to anyone visiting Dubai.
