Esta es la mitad de Dubai que existia antes de las torres, y lo bastante pequena para recorrerla a pie. Al Fahidi es un sistema de callejones de casas de torres de viento en coral y yeso, construidas por comerciantes de perlas, y se mantiene fresco a nivel de calle de una forma que la nueva ciudad no logra.
El paseo incluye una casa patrimonial emirati, el zoco de textiles, y luego el cruce que define el tour: un abra a traves del Dubai Creek. Son barcos de madera que han recorrido la misma ruta durante decadas y cuestan un dirham para los locales, el punto no es el ahorro sino estar en el mismo banco que personas que van a trabajar.
Al otro lado estan los zocos de oro y especias. El zoco del oro tiene toneladas de existencias en vitrinas abiertas y el zoco de especias es donde el guia se gana su tarifa, porque saber que azafran es real importa. La comida callejera se come mientras se camina en lugar de sentado.
Notas practicas: este es un tour a pie de unas tres horas, use zapatos comodos, y es mucho mas agradable entre octubre y abril. Hay tiempo de compras incluido y no hay obligacion de comprar nada.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic tour — 10/10! Absolutely fantastic experience and one of the highlights of my time in Dubai. Our guide, Fesal, was exceptional and speaks perfect English and Italian. He explained the history of Dubai, Islam, its traditions and culture in such an interesting way and answered all our questions. We experienced the traditional markets, Gold Souk, spices, tea and delicious local food. I learned so much while really enjoying myself. What impressed me most was how caring Fesal was. It was around 42°C, and he constantly made sure everyone was okay and had water. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely caring. I highly recommend this tour and especially Fesal. If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would!
