Una plaza reservada en el tren Heritage por el paso de Hai Van, el mejor tramo de ferrocarril de Vietnam.

La línea sigue la costa entre Da Nang y Hue y sube el Hai Van, el paso de las Nubes del Océano, por una cornisa tallada en la ladera de la montaña. Durante unos cuarenta minutos la vía queda suspendida sobre la laguna de Lang Co, con el mar justo debajo de la ventanilla y la pared de roca al otro lado. Jeremy Clarkson la llamó en Top Gear una de las mejores carreteras costeras del mundo, y el ferrocarril va por encima de la carretera, con la mejor vista.

El paso es además una frontera climática de verdad. Bloquea el monzón del noreste, así que Da Nang, en la cara sur, suele estar seca y cálida mientras Hue, en la cara norte, está gris y lluviosa esa misma tarde. Uno ve cambiar el tiempo por la ventanilla.

El servicio Heritage es el tren turístico y no el local corriente: asientos blandos, aire acondicionado y ventanas grandes pensadas para mirar afuera.

Reserve el lado izquierdo si va de Da Nang a Hue, para tener el mar, y el derecho si va en sentido contrario. Es un billete de ida, así que elija la dirección que encaje con el resto de su viaje en lugar de volver sobre sus pasos.

Tres horas y media de centro a centro, más rápido que el autobús y bastante más bonito de mirar.

It was a great trip! Amazing musical performers and the food available to purchase was delicious. It was nice to be able to walk about the train and stretch your legs whenever you needed too. Highly reccomend.

alot of beautiful scenery along the way we decided to take a car ride to hue arrived 9 am $40 spent the day exploring, there is plenty of ride options if walking is not your thing, We walked to train station , took afternoon train back to da nang ,sat in coach 1 left side this train ride is good for all ages,

Incredible scenic train ride! The views through Hai Van Pass were stunning and the whole experience was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. Definitely one of the best ways to travel between Da Nang and Hue. Highly recommended!

The AC was broken. And the Duration was too long since the train was really slow. Other than that it was ok.
