Hanói tiene mil años y es a la vez una capital colonial francesa, las dos cosas al mismo tiempo: las 36 calles del Barrio Antiguo, cada una con el nombre del gremio que comerciaba allí, el lago de la Espada Restituida en su centro, el Templo de la Literatura de 1070, el mausoleo donde yace expuesto Ho Chi Minh (solo por las mañanas, cerrado lunes y viernes y dos meses cada otoño) y el barrio francés arbolado, de villas y Ópera. Los cafés de la Train Street, donde el tren pasa a un metro de las mesas, abren y cierran según cambian de opinión las autoridades. El café al huevo se inventó aquí en 1946, el bun cha es la comida y el teatro de marionetas de agua junto al lago es el plan de la noche. Hanói está fresca y gris de diciembre a febrero y calurosa de mayo a septiembre; octubre y noviembre son los meses.

We booked this last minute after getting a bit overwhelmed by the traffic mess and how busy Hanoi old quarter is to walk around. We thought this tour would be a good way to get our bearings and we were right. Our guide, Nam, was so wonderful. He is knowledgeable, friendly and ensured we got a lot of information. We found the value for money was incredible. You get a delicious Buncha lunch and go to a lot of iconic spots. I highly recommend this tour for people getting to Hanoi for the first time!

I joined on the first day arriving in Hanoi. Very nice way to see and get introduced to the city. Our guide Paul was so friendly, helped us take great pictures and explained the history of North Vietnam

An absolute must for first timers, and alike, to Hanoi. Seeing and experiencing the highlights and the real Hanoi with a very knowledgeable local guide. All the inside information of their culture and traditional beliefs. Delivered with much enthusiasm and cultural understanding. An amazing local Vietnamese lunch. Followed there after by the home of the original egg coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend.
What a great way to see Hanoi. Our guide and our driver looked after his perfectly. Worth every dollar and would happily do it again. You experience much more from an open car. The meal was also beautiful.
