Hanói tiene mil años y es a la vez una capital colonial francesa, las dos cosas al mismo tiempo: las 36 calles del Barrio Antiguo, cada una con el nombre del gremio que comerciaba allí, el lago de la Espada Restituida en su centro, el Templo de la Literatura de 1070, el mausoleo donde yace expuesto Ho Chi Minh (solo por las mañanas, cerrado lunes y viernes y dos meses cada otoño) y el barrio francés arbolado, de villas y Ópera. Los cafés de la Train Street, donde el tren pasa a un metro de las mesas, abren y cierran según cambian de opinión las autoridades. El café al huevo se inventó aquí en 1946, el bun cha es la comida y el teatro de marionetas de agua junto al lago es el plan de la noche. Hanói está fresca y gris de diciembre a febrero y calurosa de mayo a septiembre; octubre y noviembre son los meses.

The food we tried were all delicious for first time visitors to Vietnam. Our food tour guide named Pilko was very lively and made our tour fun. We had no idea we would learn so much about the cuisines of Vietnam from the north, central and south. All the little eateries and cafes Pilko took us were fantastic! The first place he took us specialized in "Bun Cha" which were balls of meat in a bowl of generous amount of flavourful sauce. It wasn't too sweet or too sour or salty. Kira our guide was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, and explained the food and Hanoi in great detail. We can highly recommend the tour and restaurants she took us to. Our only negative was the Cyclo driver wanted payment at the end and it was part of tour. The food component was excellent.

Steph is a great guide. We enjoyed every food offering and her explanations were appreciated. Be sure to go hungry because it’s a lot of food! We had not experienced the cyclo before so we were glad to get to experience it but probably wouldn’t do it again.
Penelope was a wonderful guide who shared a lot of the local history and culture during the tour. The food tastings were all good, with generous portions. The cyclo ride at the end was a nice way to top off the tour.

We had such an enjoyable experience with our tour guide V. The food we had was delicious and he offered a fun, unique perspective from a member of the younger generation about life in Hoi An. We loved walking through the streets of the old quarter with him and experiencing things we never would have discovered on our own.
Daniel our tour guide was excellent, his English is excellent and his attitude too. He picked us on our hotel on time. The food choices were great and plenty we tried Bun Cha, Banh Mih, Pho rolls, and egg coffee, everything was delicious. Daniel was very attentive and and he answered all our questions and he show us around the city, At the end of the food tour the cyclo driver picked us up and gave us a little tour around the city and took us back to our hotel. We had a great time! Overall a really recommend the food and cycle tour. Thank you Daniel!
