Descripción completa

Un espectáculo al aire libre representado sobre el agua, a media hora de Hanói, con la propia ladera como decorado.

El escenario es una superficie de agua de tres hectáreas respaldada por el monte de la pagoda Thay, y los intérpretes son unos 150 campesinos de los pueblos de alrededor y no una compañía de gira. Ensayan entre temporadas y después vuelven a sus campos, y por eso el movimiento en las escenas de multitud parece gente y no coreografía.

Seis actos recorren la historia y las creencias vietnamitas: la poesía budista del norte, los letrados y los exámenes imperiales, las fiestas de aldea, las marionetas de agua que empezaron en estos arrozales inundados hace mil años.

El lado técnico vale la pena conocerlo. Secciones del escenario suben del agua y se hunden de nuevo, aparecen barcas por detrás de los árboles, y la pagoda del fondo se ilumina como parte del decorado. Nada de esto está en una pantalla.

Cuatro horas cubren el traslado de ida, el espectáculo y la vuelta, así que uno está de regreso en Hanói esa misma noche.

Se representa con cualquier tiempo, y las noches del norte son frescas de noviembre a febrero, así que lleve algo de abrigo para un asiento al aire libre.

Choreography and lights were very well done. The show was great. The sound system could have been better. But over all extremely well done. Loved it !!!

C’était superbe ! les décors, costumes, lumières et les artistes étaient géniaux et nous sommes heureuses d’y avoir assisté. Maintenant c’est vrai que l’on n’a pas tout compris, si tu ne connais pas l’histoire du Vietnam, ce n’est pas simple à suivre. De plus, j’aurais aimé y voir un peu plus d’énergie de la part des artistes, autrement c’était génial !
