Hoi An es un puerto comercial que el río Thu Bon colmató en el siglo XIX, y por eso su casco antiguo de casas-tienda chinas, salas de congregación, el puente cubierto japonés y casas de comerciantes encaladas en ocre llegó intacto hasta su declaración como sitio UNESCO en 1999. El casco antiguo está cerrado a las motos buena parte del día, iluminado con farolillos de seda por la noche, y más concurrido en la fiesta de los farolillos de luna llena de cada mes lunar. Alrededor: la aldea hortícola de Tra Que, los canales de cocoteros de agua de Cam Thanh con sus barcas redondas de cestería, la aldea alfarera de Thanh Ha, la playa de An Bang y, a 40 kilómetros hacia el interior, las ruinas cham de My Son, mejor a las 7:00 antes de que lleguen los autocares. El pueblo es además la capital vietnamita de la sastrería a medida; un traje tarda 24 horas.

Fantastic trip with Man. He was very interesting and we learnt a lot about the fascinating architecture of the Champa people. Definitely go early in the morning (we were picked up at 7) as no crowds and beautiful peaceful place. Definitely recommend booking with Man.

We were lucky enough to get Mr Power who had worked at the site, assisting restoration activities. He was a fountain of knowledge and brought this remarkable site to life. If you’re in this part of the world you need to see this site. It’s a solid 3.5 hours trip from hoi an including the site visit. Very hot dense jungle so be prepared.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour to the My Son Sanctuary and it was one of the highlights of our time in Vietnam. Our guide, Man, was exceptional. His English was excellent, making everything easy to understand, and his knowledge and passion for the temples, history, and culture was truly impressive. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his enthusiasm made the entire experience incredibly engaging and educational. Man explained the history and significance of the temples in such an interesting way that brought the whole site to life. We learned so much throughout the day and

Man was our tour guide and English, well spoken nil issues with translation. The day was hot so he recommended to go early so we left at 0630. We beat the crowds. Mans walked us through the ruins, he’s knowledge was amazing. Man ensured we had water and offered toilet breaks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAN Cám ón MAN
