The price does not cover drinks, personal expenses, tips for tour guide and drivers and single or private room: $10/night. Everything it does cover is listed in full on this page, so if something is not on that list, budget for it separately.
You can ride pillion behind a local driver, which is what most guests do and needs no licence. Driving yourself needs a licence valid in Vietnam, and your travel insurance will usually only cover you if you hold one.
