Tres atracciones sobre el valle de Muong Hoa en una tarde, todas asomadas a los arrozales en terrazas.

El parapente desde Sapa es el que la gente recuerda. Se despega de una cresta sobre el valle y se vuela en tándem sobre campos en terrazas que suben las laderas en escalones, con el Fansipan, la montaña más alta de Indochina, en el horizonte. Las terrazas cambian por completo a lo largo del año: inundadas y reflejando el cielo hacia mayo y junio, de un verde intenso todo el verano, doradas justo antes de la cosecha de septiembre.

El tobogán alpino es un trineo de gravedad sobre rieles por el bosque de la ladera, y usted maneja su propio freno, así que va tan rápido o tan suave como quiera. El tobogán arcoíris es el corto y el tonto, y es la razón de que esto funcione con adolescentes que de otro modo no subirían a un vuelo en parapente.

El pueblo de Cat Cat está en el valle de abajo, un asentamiento hmong a un corto paseo cuesta abajo desde la ciudad de Sapa, con una cascada al fondo.

El transporte privado y la recogida en el hotel hacen que las tres actividades vayan seguidas en lugar de con esperas en medio, y eso es lo que las mete en cuatro horas.

El parapente depende del aire. El viento y las nubes bajas dejan los vuelos en tierra, y Sapa está lo bastante alto para que el tiempo cambie rápido, así que el vuelo se mueve antes que despegar en malas condiciones.
