Description complète
Un circuit d'une journee complete au depart de Siem Reap qui passe par Siem Reap Province, Angkor Wat et South Gate Siem Reap and Bayon Temple. Il y a 9 arrets en tout, de sorte que la journee est bien remplie plutot que de laisser de longs intervalles entre deux ou trois temps forts.
Angkor Wat a ete construit dans la premiere moitie du 12e siecle par Suryavarman II comme temple hindou dedie a Vishnu, plus tard converti a l'usage bouddhiste, et c'est le plus grand monument religieux au monde avec environ 162 hectares a l'interieur de ses fosses. Contrairement a presque tous les autres temples khmers, il fait face a l'ouest. La galerie exterieure porte environ 600 metres de bas-reliefs, dont le Barattage de la Mer de Lait, et les tours centrales representent le mont Meru. Le niveau superieur impose un code vestimentaire reellement applique : epaules et genoux couverts, pas de debardeurs, sous peine d'etre refoule a l'escalier. Un Angkor Pass est requis et coute 37 USD pour un jour, 62 pour trois et 72 pour sept, vendu uniquement via Angkor Enterprise ; les moins de 12 ans entrent gratuitement sur presentation d'un passeport.
Le prix comprend eau potable en bouteille et transferts aller-retour depuis et vers votre hotel. Il ne comprend pas pass temple d'Angkor et dejeuner, a prevoir en plus. Very nice friendly driver Mr Khun who was polite, friendly and very accomodating. He took us where we wanted and explained what to look for at each site. We had an amazing day
I had a great day, we saw six temple sites and I bought lunch for us. The day was hot at 40 degrees and the driver greeted my return with cold water and a wet cloth which was very welcome. We shared humour together and met locals. I will post my video on YouTube manvancam
My guide was super knowledgable about local history and was very patient. He gave enough time for me to explore each site.
Great experience. Tickets easy to buy on the Angkor Pass app. Great to have our own driver on hand and use the itinerary as a guide but to have control of timings as a private group. Official Tour guides available to hire at all the temple sites if you want one. We were just looking for transportation and this was perfect.
The best thing was the availability of the Tuk Tuk driver who took us to the places that we checked, with great kindness and excellent attention

- Driver was always ready and waiting as we finished each section to move us to the next area on our tour. - Asked for a suggestion on local food for lunch and was brought to a nice restaurant that was great. - Driver lined us up with a tour guide to take us through the sites and give us background knowledge on what we were viewing which was a grat help. - Driver and guide spoke English and did not have any problems understanding besides a word here and there which we were able to figure out. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
