La campagne immediatement autour de Siem Reap est faite de rizieres, de palmiers a sucre et de villages a cinq minutes de la route des temples, rarement vus par ceux qui font les circuits. Le palmier a sucre est l'arbre national et sa seve est recoltee a la cime par des hommes qui grimpent un poteau entaille deux fois par jour, puis bouillie pour obtenir le sucre de palme utilise dans chaque cuisine khmere. L'annee du riz regle tout : repiquage pendant les mois humides, champs verts pendant la mousson, recolte autour de novembre et decembre, puis chaumes secs et poussiere. C'est en fin d'apres-midi que la lumiere est la meilleure et que les villages sont actifs, donc la plupart de ces balades vont jusqu'au coucher du soleil.

This was such a lovely tour with Bo, Mom and Lucky! We loved the drive through the countryside and also the stops in authentic locations such as the market or the farm. The conversations with Bo and Lucky (we had two guides as one of them was a trainee) , were fun, interesting, informative and entertaining. The day finished with a great shared meal at the lotus farm as we wanted to have a full dinner rather than tasting. We truly recommend the tour. Bonus: this tour supports CWR : Cambodian Women Enpowerment. The ride was safe, clean, spacious.
This was one of the best tours I took on my Cambodian vacation. You get to see the real Cambodia and Cambodian people. The tour guide Sarah from CWE was a amazing guide, fun and informative, such a pleasure to be with. Highly recommend you ask for her!! lotus farm, mushroom growing, Rice wine making was all interesting and fun.
Tour was great, my guide was Ben and it was just me and him. In Siam Reap you obviously cannot skip the temples, but after that, visiting the countryside should be a must to discover something beyond touristic areas. Ben has been a great guide, English level way above average of other guides in Cambodia and very informative. I strongly recommend this tour!
We had the very best of times with Hong and our driver - the trip was lovely, especially the lotus farm where we had a tour (this is an initiative to help women get into jobs) and lotus tea. We went shopping for picnic food - got to try freshly made fried banana which is delicious, went to a farm to try different types of rice wine, and travelled around by Tuktuk. We watched the sun setting just before a thunderstorm. Our team were amazing and we couldn’t thank them enough! I would 100% recommend this tour!!! It will be unforgettable and be a good reminder of time well spent in Cambodia!
War eine der besten Touren bislang. Man konnte ein wenig hinter die Kulissen von Siem Reap schauen. Besonders hat mir der Besuch der Reisweinfarm und der lokale Markt gefallen. Alles authentisch wunderbar. Unser Guide Hong Ho und unsere Fahrerin Mrs. Mom waren einfach perfekt. Hong Ho hat uns viel von ihrem Land erzählt und war sehr herzlich. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Wassersegnung. Zum Abschluss gab es noch ein leckeres Essen in einem einheimischen Lokal und wir haben einen kurzen Abstecher zum Essensstand von Hong Ho Schwester gemacht. Vielen Dank für den tollen Tag.
