Un circuit d'une demi-journee au depart de Siem Reap qui passe par Krong Siem Reap, Local restaurant et Made in Cambodia Market and Num Banh Chok. Il y a 6 arrets en tout, de sorte que la journee est bien remplie plutot que de laisser de longs intervalles entre deux ou trois temps forts.
La cuisine khmere est plus douce que la thailandaise et plus acide que la vietnamienne, construite sur le prahok, une pate de poisson fermente, et sur le kroeung, une pate de citronnelle, de galanga, de curcuma et de combava pilee fraiche. Le plat que tout le monde apprend est l'amok de poisson, un curry de noix de coco cuit a la vapeur dans une coupe en feuille de bananier jusqu'a prendre comme une creme ; le lok lak, du boeuf saisi au poivre avec une sauce citron-poivre, est l'autre. Le poivre de Kampot, dont l'origine est protegee, apparait dans les deux. Les cours commencent generalement sur un marche, ou le guide vous fait decouvrir le poisson fermente, le sucre de palme et le poisson de riviere avant toute cuisson.

The tour was awesome! Rode around with our guide Ron Burgendy or Weasley depending on the moment, he was funny and had lots of knowledge of the food and history of Cambodia. Very passionate. The food was outstanding and we tried the bugs at the end. Overall fantastic experience would highly recommend doing this while in Siem reap!!
great tour with Vandy. We visited several food places and tried all the dishes. finished the tour full up and had several beers. we stopped at a hand made craft market which was interesting and bought some bugs to eat wiyh our beer! All round great experience

Ms. Bopha was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, especially in introducing us to the rich and unique flavors of Cambodian food. She took the time to explain the ingredients, cooking styles, and cultural significance behind the dishes, making our culinary experience even more meaningful and enjoyable. We very much enjoyed our tour. Ron explained the different foods to us, what they were and the regions they came from. We sampled red and Green curries, herby spring rolls, some noodles (sorry I can’t be more specific but I can’t remember what they were all called!). Ron took us to a night street market where we bought some deep fried bugs ( crickets, grasshoppers, frogs and silk worm larvae) [optional!] and local fruits which we then went to a bar and ate alongside a lovely cold local beer.
